Owner and operator of Peacemaking Partners, J.P. is a family specialist, mediator, coach, and public speaker. Individuals, families, and organizations seek his assistance when they’re tired of living with unproductive tension. He knows what it takes to help you clear the clutter in the midst of conflict and reach your desired outcome peacefully and effectively. He also looks beyond today’s conflict to help you feel confident about the future.

In addition to his private work, JP also works with the Alaska Court System providing mediation for families in the areas of divorce and child custody. His work in the Anchorage community includes partnering with many organizations to include the Alaska National Guard, the University of Alaska, the Anchorage School District, Practical Positive Parenting, McLaughlin Youth Center, South Central Foundation, Hiland Correctional Center, and various other organizations to bring mediation, coaching, and education in effective dispute resolution. JP's work extends throughout Alaska providing mediation services online and via teleconference.

As a member of the Mediation/Arbitration Section, the Family Law Section of the Alaska Bar Association, and founding board member of Professional Mediators of Alaska, he takes his call to help transform our communities through mediation very seriously. As president of the board for Alaska Youth and Family Network and member of the Citizen's Review Panel, JP strongly believes that supporting and healing the family unit, is crucial to building and sustaining a healthy community.

After joining the Air Force at age 17, JP spent 5 years as an EMT in Texas, Saudi Arabia, and Alaska. For over 15 years, he worked with thousands of patients and medical staff helping to facilitate a true spirit of healing during times of crisis. During this time, he studied psychology, counseling, crisis intervention, and dispute resolution prior to launching a mediation practice in 2012. His gifting and passion for meaningful human interaction show in his work with clients, love for his family, and interaction with audiences through workshops and speaking engagements.
